1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide a better browsing experience, and give website operators information about how the site is being used.
In addition to cookies, we also use localStorage, a similar browser storage mechanism, to store certain preferences on your device.
2. How We Use Cookies
Lebanon Luxury Estate (“LLE,” “we,” “us”) uses cookies and localStorage for the following purposes:
- Remembering your language preference (English or Arabic).
- Storing your cookie consent preferences.
- Maintaining admin sessions for authorized users.
- Ensuring the Site functions correctly.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Site to function and cannot be switched off. They do not store any personally identifiable information.
| Cookie / Storage | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| lle-admin-session | Cookie | Authenticates admin users. Only set when an admin logs in. Not set for regular visitors. | 24 hours |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Cookie | Stores your preferred language (English or Arabic) so we can display the Site in your chosen language. | 1 year |
3.2 Functional Storage (localStorage)
These use your browser's localStorage to remember your preferences. They remain until you clear your browser data.
| Key | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| lle-cookie-consent | Stores your cookie consent preferences (which categories you have accepted or declined). | Until cleared or consent version changes |
| lle-newsletter-dismissed | Remembers if you have dismissed the newsletter popup, so it doesn't appear again. | Until cleared |
3.3 Third-Party Cookies
The following third-party services may set cookies or access data through your browser:
Google Fonts
We use Google Fonts to display typography on the Site. When your browser loads fonts, it connects to Google servers, which may log your IP address. Google may set cookies related to this request. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Vercel
Our hosting provider (Vercel) may collect anonymous usage metrics for performance monitoring. These do not contain personally identifiable information. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
Vercel Blob
Media assets (images and videos) are served from Vercel Blob storage. Your browser makes requests to Vercel Blob servers to load media content, which may log standard request information (IP address, user agent).
4. Cookie Consent
When you first visit our Site, a cookie consent banner appears at the bottom of the screen. This banner allows you to:
- Accept All: Enable all categories of cookies.
- Customize: Toggle individual categories (Essential, Functional, Analytics, Marketing) on or off.
- Reject Non-Essential: Decline all non-essential cookies.
Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are necessary for the Site to function. Your consent preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage and respected across your browsing session.
Consent Versioning
We use a consent version identifier. If we materially change our cookie practices, the consent version will update and the banner will reappear, allowing you to review and update your preferences.
5. How to Control Cookies
5.1 Through Our Cookie Banner
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking “Cookie Settings” in the footer of any page. This will reopen the consent banner where you can adjust your selections.
5.2 Through Your Browser
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically:
- View what cookies are stored on your device.
- Delete individual or all cookies.
- Block cookies from specific or all websites.
- Set preferences for first-party vs. third-party cookies.
For instructions specific to your browser:
Note: Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Site. Essential features such as language preference may not work correctly without cookies.
6. “Do Not Sell My Personal Information”
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), consumers have the right to opt out of the “sale” of their personal information.
Lebanon Luxury Estate does not sell your personal information.
We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal data, including cookie data, browsing data, or email addresses, to any third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.
You can access the “Do Not Sell My Info” option in the footer of any page. Clicking it will reset your cookie consent preferences and reload the page, allowing you to review and adjust your cookie settings.
7. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want to be tracked. There is currently no universal standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. Our Site does not currently respond to DNT signals, but we respect your cookie consent preferences as set through our cookie banner.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal requirements. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. If we make significant changes to our cookie practices, the consent version will update, triggering the cookie banner to reappear for all visitors.
